Still got Love for the Streets n.5<\/em> nasce dalla reinterpretazione pittorica di un frammento di graffiti, incentrato sulla lettera \u201cE\u201d. Tecnica mista su tela, 2010, 140 \u00d7 120 cm: insieme alla n.9<\/a> \u00e8 il formato pi\u00f9 grande della serie.<\/p>\n

Still got Love for the Streets n.5: la lettera come forma<\/h2>\n

Isolata dal contesto originario e ingrandita fino a occupare gran parte della superficie, la lettera perde la sua funzione alfabetica per trasformarsi in forma, struttura e memoria visiva.<\/p>\n

Nella met\u00e0 bassa la \u201cE\u201d \u00e8 un pezzo a colori pieni: blu, corallo, turchese, contorni gialli e piccoli colpi di luce bianca. La met\u00e0 alta \u00e8 velata di grigio, attraversata da colature e da un ritaglio di giornale.<\/p>\n

\"Still<\/p>\n

La costruzione della lettera<\/h3>\n

L\u2019opera richiama una dinamica tipica del writing: l\u2019attenzione ossessiva alla costruzione della lettera come elemento identitario. Non \u00e8 il messaggio a essere protagonista, ma il modo in cui esso viene costruito.<\/p>\n

Curve, tagli, volumi e proporzioni diventano il vero soggetto dell\u2019opera, rivelando la complessit\u00e0 formale nascosta dietro un linguaggio spesso percepito soltanto come spontaneo o istintivo.<\/p>\n

Due scritture sulla stessa tela<\/h3>\n

Sopra la lettera piena corre una scrittura opposta: nera, sottile, veloce, fatta di E rotonde e righe: il nome KENDE, scritto in un attimo. \u00c8 lo stesso contrasto che si vede sui muri, tra il pezzo preparato per ore e la firma lasciata in pochi secondi. Qui convivono senza coprirsi del tutto.<\/p>\n

Il titolo dichiara apertamente il mio legame con la cultura urbana che ha contribuito a formare il mio immaginario visivo. Non si tratta di nostalgia, ma di riconoscimento. La strada viene qui riletta attraverso gli strumenti della pittura contemporanea, conservando l\u2019energia e la libert\u00e0 espressiva che caratterizzano il gesto originario.<\/p>\n

Attraverso stratificazioni, interventi calligrafici e superfici materiche, un dettaglio apparentemente semplice diventa una riflessione sul valore della lettera come forma autonoma. La \u201cE\u201d diventa cos\u00ec molto pi\u00f9 di un carattere tipografico: \u00e8 una traccia, una presenza e un omaggio alle radici da cui prende forma tutto il mio lavoro.<\/p>\n

Oggi l\u2019opera fa parte di una collezione privata a Londra. Non ne esistono stampe.<\/p>\n
