Interiors

Kende works site-specifically. Before drawing a single line, the environment is studied – its proportions, its light, the weight of existing materials. The work is then built around that specific architecture, not simply placed in front of it. The result is a piece that appears to have always been there.

The opera

Original mixed-media panels on wood. Sizes range from 60x100 cm up to over 200x200 cm, scaled to the project. Each piece is unique – developed through a process of layering, erasure, and reconstruction, the result of two decades of practice on the walls of London, Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin, and Barcelona. The visual language is precise: calligraphic signs with the depth and texture of urban surfaces, composed with a measure that integrates into considered interiors rather than competing with them. Each original is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.

Commissions

For important projects, Kende visits the space in person. Colour, scale, and composition are defined through direct observation of the environment – materials, natural and artificial light, existing palettes. Collaboration with interior designers and architects is welcome at every stage of the project.
