COMMISSIONS

Street-born calligraphy for contemporary interiors

Every commissioned work begins before the brush touches the surface: it begins with space.

For important projects, I visit the site in person. I study the architecture, I note the dominant tones of the environment — walls, floors, furnishings — and I observe how light moves through the space at different times of the day. It’s not a preliminary formality: it’s the foundation of the entire work.

From there, I develop a pictorial language specific to that space: proportions calibrated to the wall, a colour palette that dialogues with what already exists, a compositional rhythm that enhances rather than interrupts. The result is not a painting placed in a room: it is a work that seems to have always belonged there.

The process

Let's start with a conversation — about space, about the atmosphere you want to create, about what strikes you in my work. No brief or technical form: just a direct exchange.

If the project requires it, I carry out an on-site inspection, gathering references, measurements, and light conditions. From this, I develop a proposal — format, compositional direction, palette — which we refine together before starting.

The work is created in my studio through a slow and layered process: superimposed veils, erasures, gestures that accumulate over time, like a wall accumulates years. Each piece is unique and unrepeatable. Delivery is organised directly, with care taken for installation if necessary.

Let's talk about it

If you have a space in mind – or simply a feeling you want to bring into it – write to me. Every project starts with a conversation.
